Karen A. Sweeney Houpt, 64, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, in Media, Pa.

She was born March 6, 1954, and was the daughter of Anna R. Dougherty Sweeney and the late Paul P. Sweeney.

She graduated from Butler High School.

Karen worked for the Butler School District as a secretary.

Surviving are her husband, Roland Houpt; her mother, Anna Sweeney; two daughters, Bethany (Russell) Alexander, and Kacee Reott and her companion, Dave Everett; her granddaughter, Aubree Everett; her brother, Paul M. (Connie) Sweeney; her stepsons, Chris and Ryan Houpt; her mother-in-law, Dale Tibett; two nieces, Jillian (Sunny) Fowler and Laura (Todd) Johnson; her cousins, Tessa and Mason Duffield and Marley Solo; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul P. Sweeney; her brother, John C. Sweeney; and her grandparents, John and Anne Sweeney and Anthony and Anna Daugherty.
