When I remember that fateful day when you sadly passed away,

It’s still not easy to shake away the sadness or the pain.

Though a year has passed,

Memories of you live on in my heart.

I’ll always cherish them dearly.

They are a special part of me.

It hasn’t been easy in any way

Losing someone as dear as you...

You were precious in every way and ever so wonderful.

The loss is still indescribable.

At the time, it made my world shatter

When you lose someone so invaluable

Nothing else seems to matter.

I’ve tried my best to carry on.

I know you wouldn’t want me sad, for too long

But I could never, ever forget you

I cherish my memories of you, for evermore.
