Former Butler city police officials suing city

Two retired Butler City Police officials are suing, demanding nearly $62,000 combined from the city for lost compensation time and pensions.

On Wednesday, attorney Al Lindsay filed lawsuits in Butler on behalf of former city Police Chief Ronald Brown and former Deputy Chief David Adam. According to the filings, both men worked for the police department for 28 years before retiring last year. The lawsuits contend that the city miscalculated the individual pensions for Brown and Adam, adding that they were entitled to be paid for unused sick and vacation days.
