Ronald Alvin Klever

Ronald Alvin Klever, 88, of Butler passed away Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 6, 1930, in West Sunbury, and was the son of the late Harold Alvin “Dutch” and Mary (Whitmire) Klever.

Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Korean War.

Ronald was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Lyndora American Legion 778.

Surviving are his stepdaughter, Sandra (James) Ferguson of Butler; his son-in-law, Todd Jones of Butler; his four grandchildren, Jessica (Caleb) Toth of Fredonia, Garrett Jones of Butler, Samuel Klever of Pittsburgh, and Joshua Jones of Butler; and four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Austin, Brooklyn and Aislyn Toth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Sue (Elliott) Klever, who passed away Sept. 15, 1999; his son, Ronald H. Klever, who passed away May 4, 2011; his daughter, Susan Jones, who passed away March 26, 2017; his sister, Dolores Kiser Cokain; and his brother, Kirby Klever.

KLEVER — A memorial service for Ronald Alvin Klever, who died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
