Petra E.A. Lawry
Petra E.A. Lawry, 72, of Slippery Rock, Brady Township, passed away on Monday at her residence.
Born on Sept. 20, 1946, in Eindhoven, Netherlands, she married John William “Bill” Lawry Jr. on May 22, 1965.
She had been a homemaker, secretary and administrative assistant.
Petra had been a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock.
She enjoyed working with her computer, producing videography, collecting family history, studying genealogy and, most of all, spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by three sons, Jeffrey James (Barbara) Lawry of Medina, Ohio, Brian Douglas (Victoria) Lawry of Murrysville, and Kevin Sean (Dennise) Lawry of Sarasota, Fla.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Maria (Anthony) DiBiase of Hartville, Ohio, and Francisca (Larry) Williamson of Cortland, Ohio; and her brother, Franciscus (Deborah) Bentlage of Oak Harbor, Ohio.
LAWRY — The family of Petra E.A. Lawry, who died Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock, with Father Steven Neff officiating.Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Harrisville.In lieu of flowers or for memorial contributions, the family suggests that donations be made in Petra's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
