Joyce Ann Shoemaker, 58, of Butler passed away Saturday.

Born July 26, 1960, in Butler, she was the daughter of Genevieve Bronder Winters and the late Ralph Winters.

Joyce was a 1978 graduate of Knoch High School.

She was a property manager for Morgan Management, a marketing manager for Checker Industries and a project manager for South Rock Development. She also was employed by Woodings Industrial Corp. and the former Burt Hill Kosar Rittelmann architecture firm.

Joyce loved her cats and enjoyed cooking and painting. Joyce will be remembered as a gifted people person and a wonderful wife and mother. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

In addition to her mother, Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Cortland Steven Shoemaker of Butler, whom she married on Dec. 30, 1992; her son, Stephen Cortland Shoemaker of Robinson Township; her siblings, Wayne Winters and his wife, Carol, of Orlando, Fla., Bob Winters and his wife, Mary Beth, of Penn Township, Donna Sisley and her husband, Terry, of Lawrenceville, Pa., and Debbie Craig and her husband, Scott, of Athens, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

SHOEMAKER — Friends of Joyce Ann Shoemaker, who died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gordon Powell officiating.Joyce will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Butler.Donations may be made in memory of Joyce to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
