Lois J. Voelker
Lois J. Voelker, 84, of Butler passed away on Wednesday in the emergency room of Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 17, 1934, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Paul Plunkard and the late Elizabeth Van Buren Plunkard.
Lois worked for Voelker Paving as a bookkeeper.
She was Presbyterian by faith.
Lois enjoyed volunteering, camping, playing cards and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Lois is survived by her two sons, Roger W. (Judy) Voelker of Butler, and Tim A. (Esther) Voelker of West Sunbury; two daughters, Catherine E. Wright of Butler and Sandra J. (David) Meeder of Butler; eight grandchildren, Amanda (Luke) Pollick, Ashlee (Joshua) Smochek, Scott Wright, Tia Wright, Max Voelker, Maggie Voelker, Kody (Madeline) Meeder and Dillon Meeder; four great-grandchildren, Tristan Pollick, Jackson Pollick, Ilanor Meeder and Leondis Meeder; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Plunkard of Glenshaw, and Peg Brace of Canton, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Voelker, whom she married on Sept. 8, 1951, and who passed away on May 16, 2006; three sisters; and four brothers.
VOELKER — Friends of Lois J. Voelker, who died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert S.
