A winter weather advisory goes into effect at 10 a.m. this morning for much of the Butler Eagle readership area.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh reports the area could see 2 to 5 inches of snow throughout the day Sunday and overnight into Monday. The advisory will remain in effect until 1 a.m. Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, a winter weather advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Travelers can expect snow covered roads causing slippery road conditions and limited visibilities. Drivers are urged to use caution.
