Butler boys fall to Mt. Lebanon in 6A championship
Butler's bid for a WPIAL 6A boys basketball title fell short with a 62-57 loss to Mt. Lebanon.
Ethan Morton led Butler with 21 points, 14 rebounds and six assists. Luke Patten, injured and hospitalized Wednesday night, started for Butler and scored 12 points. Devin Carney had 13 for Butler.
Sean Loughran led the Blue Devils with 21 points.
Butler (20-5) trailed by 1 point after 3 quarters, but never regained the lead.
