West Penn crews make headway with help from out-of-State
West Penn Power crews buttressed by out-of-state linemen made more strides since Wednesday, restoring electricity to all but 75 customers in Butler County.
With the better-than-anticipated developments, timetables have changed — for the good — when some residents could finally see the light.
Buffalo and Cherry townships have the most remaining outages, 19 and 10, respectively, of all municipalities in the county, according to the utility's website. Those customers should have power again by 11 p.m. Friday.
There are five or fewer homes without service in all other townships and boroughs. Many of those customers will have service restored by tonight or Friday night.
Customers in Franklin and Jefferson townships are now the only ones that may have to wait until Saturday night to have their power back on.
