Lisa Kay (Stanford) Higgins, 71, of Worthington died Tuesday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born Sept. 24, 1947, in Kittanning, and was the daughter of the late Edgar and Lois (Bracken) Stanford.

She worked as a mushroom picker and for Helpmates.

Lisa enjoyed going to yard sales, going out to eat and family gatherings.

Survivors include her husband, Richard “Dick” Higgins of Worthington; her son, Wesley (Jennifer) Higgins of Kittanning; her grandson, Hunter Higgins of Kittanning; a sister, Bonnie Stanford (Merv Yount) of Ford City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ed and Scott Stanford; and her sisters, Louise Hoover and Lynn Gilbertsen.

HIGGINS — Friends of Lisa Kay (Stanford) Higgins, who died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at F.
