America Maria, 89, of Harrisville passed away Saturday at Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove.

She was born July 10, 1929, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Justino A. and Josefa (Garcia) Alvarez.

Surviving are her three sons, Kurt Kurvach of Newburg, Ind., Russell Kurvach of West Henrietta, N.Y., and Eric D. Kurvach of Carnegie, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
