Robert Eugene Plunkard

Robert Eugene Plunkard, 56, of Evans City, passed away Thursday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born Sept. 26, 1962, in Kittanning, he was the son of the late Melvin Leroy and Genevieve Geraldine Plunkard Sr.

Bob worked as a laborer for James Austin Company in Mars for 35 years, retiring in 2016.

An avid dirt track racing fan, he went every weekend.

Surviving are three sisters, Debra Sue (Michael) Betts of Middlesex Township, Linda Diane Plunkard of Evans City and Beatrice Lorraine (Milton) Widemen of Lyndora; three brothers, Melvin Leroy Plunkard Jr. of Mars, Ralph Raymond (Margo) Plunkard of Mars and Timothy Beyers of West Kittanning. Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.

PLUNKARD — Friends of Robert Eugene Plunkard, who died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
