Janet L. Simon
Janet L. Simon, 86, of Prospect went home to be with her Lord for eternity Tuesday night at the Saxony Health Center in Saxonburg.
Janet was born on Aug. 17, 1932, in Mount Chestnut, and was the daughter of Leon R. and Bertha C. Hempfling Osborne.
She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Butler.
Janet had worked at Natili North & Carry Out Restaurant in Butler as a cook.
Survivors include four sons, Dennis (Suzanne) Osborne of Prospect, George (Brenda) Simon Jr. of Butler, David Simon of Prospect and Ted (Janice) Simon of Butler; two brothers, Lee (Peggy) Osborne of Butler and Paul (Pat) Osborne of Idaho; one sister, Pat Bowser of Butler; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Janet was preceded in death by her longtime, loving companion, George Simon, who died May 24, 1977; and her two sisters, Leyula Hetrick and Betty Loerch.
SIMON — Visitation for Janet L. Simon, who died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday from the Jay Bryan Funeral Home, 443 Main St., Prospect.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home with Janet's grandson, the Rev. Joshua Ferraioulo officiating.Burial will take place at Mount Chestnut Cemetery in Butler.
