George Vincent Butcherine Jr.

George Vincent Butcherine Jr.

George Vincent Butcherine Jr., 71, of Slippery Rock passed away peacefully at his home at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

He was born in Carbon, Lawrence County, on June 11, 1947, to George Vincent Butcherine Sr. and Vada May Smith Butcherine.

George married Karen Lee Hoffman on May 27, 1967.

George was self-employed in the refrigeration industry and was an HVAC specialist, having owned and operated Butcherine Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating.

He was an active member of Hope Fellowship Assembly of God in Slippery Rock.

George was a 1965 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and attended refrigeration school.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed spending time with family, including biking with his family on Sundays and being at the family camp in West Virginia.

George shared his love of Jesus and his God-given talents, love and passion for life with every person who he met or crossed paths with. Ripples of blessings, just like a pebble thrown in a still lake causes ripples, everything George laid his hands to were blessed over again. His talents and compassion affected everyone at some level.

Butcherine Aiello and her husband, Roger, of New Wilmington, and Linda D. Butcherine Waite and her husband, Allen, of Jamestown; and three grandchildren, Brandon Hennegan, Joseph Cook and Jordan Butcherine.
