A Center Township woman is accused of illegally obtaining $3,200 in public assistance last year.

The Pennsylvania Inspector General's office charged 39-year-old Jennifer A. Flint on Tuesday with felony welfare fraud in the case.

Investigators said that between Feb. 1 and June 30, 2018, she fraudulently collected the benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as food stamps.

Flint allegedly failed to report her true household income by intentionally withholding income received from a family member's employer, according to court documents.

District Judge William Fullerton on Wednesday issued an arrest warrant for the defendant on a third-degree felony count of unlawfully receiving the SNAP benefits.

If convicted, the maximum penalty Flint faces is seven years in prison and a fine of $15,000, plus a mandatory disqualification period from the benefits program.

She could not be reached for comment Friday.
