Lambing not happy with his lawyer
A judge on Monday denied 21-year-old Butler man’s request for a new defense team in his criminal homicide case.
Facing the death penalty, Keith Jordan Lambing expressed his displeasure with his defense team, headed by Public Defender Charles Nedz, and requested that Judge Timothy McCune assign a new lawyer to his case.
“I just want a fair trial and a fair shot at proving my innocence,” he said, and when McCune asked why he was making the request, Lambing responded that “Just the way my counsel carries themselves ... Just a lot of red flags are going up. Something doesn’t feel right.”
On March 21, 2017, Bentley Thomas Miller bled to death after being sexually assaulted in a room at the Super 8 motel on Pittsburgh Road in Butler Township, according to investigators. Lambing is charged with one felony count each of criminal homicide, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with serious bodily injury, rape of a child, rape of a child with serious bodily injury, aggravated indecent assault of a child, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children, and one misdemeanor count of recklessly endangering another person.
