Mona Lisa Clouse

Mona Lisa Clouse, 79, of Altoona passed away Tuesday morning at Graystone Manor at Bell-meade in Altoona.

She was born Aug. 7, 1939, in Argentine, Pa., and was the daughter of Richard and Madlyn (Stillwagon) Stone.

She married William W. Clouse on Nov. 28, 1958, in Butler. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2015.

Mona graduated from Moniteau High School Class of 1957 and had attended Juniata College.

She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Mona was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts and attending Juniata Valley sports activities. In her younger years, she was involved with the Cub Scouts.

Mona retired after working many years for Owens Corning Fiberglass.

She was a resident of Alexandria, Pa., from 1966 until 2000 and had lived at her current residence since February 2018.

She is survived by five children, William Clouse of Sunnyvale, Calif., Jana Clouse of Butler, Richard Clouse and his wife, Andrea, of Camarillo, Calif., Lisa Carper of Alexandria, Pa., and Patti Sargood of Millsap, Texas.

She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, Chad Hamor and his wife, Diana, of Jenks, Okla., Zachary Hamor of Petersburg, Pa., Kendra Grose of Butler, Nicholas Clouse of Boston, Mass., Olivia Schmitz and her husband, Adam, of Annapolis, Md., James Clouse of Camarillo, Calif., Monalisa Clouse of Camarillo, Calif., Ashley Llewellyn and her husband, Chad, of Warriors Mark, Pa., Sean Carper and his wife, Emilee, of Alexandria, Pa., Cameron Sargood of Millsap, Texas, Stephanie Sargood of Millsap, Texas, and Tori Sargood of Millsap, Texas.

She also leaves her seven great grandchildren, Mariana Hamor of Jenks, Okla., Lucille Schmitz of Annapolis, Md., Reese Llewellyn of Warriors Mark, Pa., Evelyn Llewellyn of Warriors Mark, Pa., Wyatt Llewellyn of Warriors Mark, Pa., Lucas Carper of Alexandria, Pa., and Allie Carper of Alexandria, Pa.

Mona also leaves her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Clouse of Herald, Calif.; a brother, Albert Stone and his wife, Rachel, of Napa, Idaho; a sister, Sue Stone of Butler; a sister-in-law, Ruth Stone of Butler; a brother-in-law, Edward Elliott of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two children, James Clouse and Kimberlie Clouse; a son-in-law, Rodney Carper; and four siblings, Patrick Stone, Ruth Elliott, and an infant sister and brother.

CLOUSE — Family and friends of Mona Lisa Clouse, who died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, are invited to a celebration of life to be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Cutright Funeral Homes, Juniata Valley Chapel, 412 Main St., Alexandria, Pa.A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following the celebration of life with James Foster to officiate.Interment will be private.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cutright Funeral Home, Juniata Valley Chapel, Alexandria, Pa.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mona Clouse to the Juniata Valley High School Sports Boosters, 7775 Juniata Valley Pike, Alexandria, PA 16611.
