No Flash In The Pan
ADAMS TWP — Mara Fuller is following former Mars girls lacrosse standout Shannon Doyle in more ways than one.
The Planet junior is trying to snap Doyle’s school record of 140 career goals. She has scored 85 through two seasons.
Fuller is also following a path similar to the one Doyle took to collegiate lacrosse. Doyle joined a Central Michigan University team in its second year of existence.
Fuller verbally committed to Kent State University recently. The Golden Flashes are debuting their women’s lacrosse program next month.
“It’s a great situation for Mara to be walking into,” Mars coach Cara Dumont said. “Everything will be fresh. Everything will be new. She can help them build.”
Fuller had offers from Indiana (Pa.), St. Bonaventure, Tiffin and Robert Morris before deciding on Kent State.
