Earl E. "Corky" McCorkle

Earl E. “Corky” McCorkle, 79, of Butler went to celebrate his 80th with his Lord and Savior Saturday.

Born Dec. 6, 1938 in Curtisville, he was the son of the late Clarence McCorkle and Elsie Whitehead McCorkle.

Earl had worked at Glenshaw Glass, the Bair Foundation and especially enjoyed working as a karaoke DJ.

He was a member of New Beginnings Free Methodist Church and the TOPS Club.

He enjoyed hunting. He loved music and singing.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Birckbichler McCorkle whom he married Nov. 26, 1994; his children, John McCorkle of DuBois, Jim (Dawn) McCorkle of Redmond, Wash., Dan (Mel) Uber of Uniontown, Don (Colette) Uber of Renfrew, Matt (Jenn) McCorkle of Sarver and Bobbi Sue Covert of East Butler; one brother, Ron McCorkle of Va.; two sisters, Evelyn Nagy of Saxonburg and Valerie (John) Siekierski of Butler; and 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Marie Borsuk and Betty Jean Formento; one brother, Glenn McCorkle; and one granddaughter, Marlayna Bathje.

MCCORKLE — Friends of Earl E. “Corky” McCorkle who died on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.The family will hold funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home with the Rev.
