Meridian Road bridge closed after New Years Eve crash
The single lane bridge where Meridian Road crosses the Connoquenessing Creek is closed following a semi-truck crash on Dec. 31.
RENFREW — The single lane bridge where Meridian Road crosses the Connoquenessing Creek in Renfrew is closed following a semi-truck crash on Dec. 31.
The truck ripped some of the bridge’s guardrail off. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation opted to close the bridge until the rail is replaced.
Such work should occur “as soon as possible,” according to Mike Mattis, PennDOT’s maintenance manager for Butler County.
