Dean A. Snyder, 84, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the Grove at Harmony.

He was born June 22, 1934, in Butler, and was the son of the late Floyd and Nellie (Ambrose) Snyder.

Dean was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He enjoyed golfing and was a champion bowler.

He was a member and worked at VFW Post 249, where he cherished the bonds he formed with fellow members.

He will be missed by his longtime companion, Margaret “Peggy” Gilliland and all of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers; and his beloved dog, Fred.
