Donald E. “Neuby” Neubert

Donald E. “Neuby” Neubert, 85, of Saxonburg died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Saxonburg, he was the son of the late Fred E. and Grace (Schroth) Neubert.

Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.

He started his career as a laboratory analyst at Allegheny Ludlum and then as a lab technician at Du-Co Ceramics. He retired from Saxonburg Ceramics as a lab supervisor and quality control supervisor.

He enjoyed camping, bowling, golf and skiing. He was a lifelong gardener and antique car buff.

He was a member of the Model T Ford Club International, the Model T Ford Club of America and a charter member of the Western Pennsylvania Model T Club. He owned two Model Ts, which he restored and drove.

Don loved traveling in his camper and saw most of the United States with his wife and children. He and his wife also enjoyed 11 trips to foreign countries.

Don is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Weimer) Neubert, whom he married Aug. 15, 1959; his daughter, Sandra (Daniel) Millett of Cranberry Township; his son, Timothy (Beth Anaclerio) Neubert of San Diego, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Danielle, Stephen, Jeffrey, Carson and Miles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Fred Neubert; and one sister, Shirley Brinker.

NEUBERT — Friends of Donald E. “Neuby” Neubert, who died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W.
