Virginia Lee Day
Virginia Lee Day of Butler, formerly of Eau Claire passed away peacefully on Tuesday while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Aug. 11, 1932, in Eau Claire, she was the daughter of the late Bessie (Mann) Meals and William C. Meals.
She was married in 1956 to Merle D. Day, who passed away May 23, 1990.
Virginia was Methodist by faith, being one of the oldest members of the Bethel United Methodist Church of Eau Claire, since 1947.
Virginia was a graduate of Concord High School.
She resided in Eau Claire for 66 years, as a homemaker, then resided the remainder of her life in Butler.
She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 60.
Surviving are a son, James A. (Denise) Day of Butler; a daughter, Laurie L. (Bradley) McDonald of Butler; a granddaughter, Emily McDonald of Butler; two stepgrandsons, Craig Warheit and Dana Warheit; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Meals.
DAY — Friends of Virginia Lee Day, who died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, may call from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S.
