Robert A. “Bob” Lindell
Robert A. “Bob” Lindell, 65, of Karns City passed away in his home Thursday.
Born on Nov. 6, 1952, in Butler, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Lindell and the late Geraldine E. Lindell.
Bob was a 1970 graduate of Knoch High School. He was a proud member of the Steamfitters Local 449, from which he retired in 2006.
Bob loved NASCAR and football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, RVing, and traveling with his wife and best friend, the late Cathy M. Fleeger Lindell. They were married Feb. 14, 2002, and sadly, Cathy preceded him in death July 31, 2016. Bob also loved and took great comfort in his other best friends, his dogs, Monroe and Annie, and cat Sophie.
Bob is survived by his stepdaughter, whom he considered his own daughter, Lesley A. Kadunce Fair, and grandson, Geoffrey J.P. Fair, both of Butler; one sister, Gloria Lindell Beechey of Butler; three brothers, Joseph S. (Jeannie) Lindell of Hendersonville, N.C., David A. (Sue) Lindell of Freeport and John S. (Bernadette) Lindell of Tequesta, Fla., along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Thomas D. Beechey Sr.; nephew, Thomas D. “Tommy” Beechey Jr., and his son-in-law, Jeffrey A. Fair.
