Monte R. Moody
Monte R. Moody, 86, of Mars passed away Saturday evening in the comfort of his home with his family at his side.
Born in Pittsburgh on July 17, 1932, he was the son of the late Robert and Frankie Christy Moody.
Monte was the owner of M.R. Moody Sales and Service in Mars. He was a founding member and rules chairman of the East Coast Four Wheel Drive Association and also belonged to the Pennsylvania Snow Seekers Snowmobile Club.
He attended the Valencia Presbyterian Church. He also belonged to the Mars Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara A. Smith and Jody L. Kennedy, both of Mars; four sons, Bruce E. Moody of Cranberry Township, William A. Moody (Julie) of Mars, Montgomery R. Moody of Zelienople and Scott H. Moody (Monique) of Sarver; his grandchildren, Justan L. Moody (Jamie), Joshua Sunderland, Haley Moody, Scotty Moody, Samantha Moody, Evan Moody and Emmeline Kennedy; and his great-grandchildren, Jaden, Coltan, Ember and Madison.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn J. Shermer Moody; a granddaughter, Nicole Smith; his sisters, Dorothy “Doris” Mincer, Ann Farringer and Margaret “Peggy” Peron; and his brothers, Robert Moody and Charles Moody.

Moody, who died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev.
