Vikings hold off Packers
MINNEAPOLIS — Kirk Cousins threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns Sunday night as the Minnesota Vikings kept their NFC North title hopes alive with a 24-17 win over the Green Bay Packers.
The game was tied at 14 at halftime before Minnesota (6-4-1) took control in the third quarter. Dan Bailey broke the tie with a 37-yard field goal and Cousins tossed a 14-yard touchdown pass to Adam Thielen.
Thielen had eight catches for 125 yards in the game.
The Packers (4-6-1) got within a score when Mason Crosby booted a 38-yard field goal with 2:20 to play. Kyle Rudolph recovered Crosby’s ensuing onside kick to wrap up the victory.
The loss seriously dampened Green Bay’s playoff hopes.
