Alice F. Weisenstein

Alice F. Weisenstein of Jefferson Hills, Pa., beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on Sunday at Lawson Nursing Home.

Born July 14, 1917, in Hooversville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie A. Coccaro.

For the majority of her life, Mrs. Weisenstein lived in Butler, where she was a life-long member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and the Maqueda Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She loved sewing Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy dolls for family and friends from Butler to Europe.

Mrs. Weisenstein is survived by a daughter, Karen Spellman of Pittsburgh; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren R. “Bud” Weisenstein; a sister, Grace Taggart; and three brothers, Joseph Jr., John and Albert Coccaro.

WEISENSTEIN — Per her wishes, there will be no public visitation or services for Alice F. Weisenstein, who died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018.Private burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates in Mount Chestnut.Arrangements were handled by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
