Donald F. Reott
Donald F. Reott, 81, of Butler died Saturday morning in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born Aug. 18, 1937, in Butler, he was a son of the late Joseph Reott and Adele (Dittmer) Reott.
Don was retired from the Armco Steel Plant in Butler. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, the East Butler Fire Hall, the Herman Fire Hall, the R.C. Men's Club and the American Legion. He enjoyed farming and square dancing. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and recently great-grandfather.
He leaves behind to guide his children his faithful, loving wife, Kay (Smith) Reott, whom he married Sept. 12, 1959, after being high school sweethearts.
He was forever surrounded by his nine children, Dean Reott, Darla (Rodger) Davis, Daniel Reott, Doris (Ronald) Davis, Duane (Patty) Reott and Daryl Reott, all of Butler, Debbie Young of Chicora, and Doug (Debbie) Reott and Denise Robinson, both of Butler.
He especially enjoyed spoiling his 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters, Bebe Reott and Dian Rodgers, both of Butler, Gloria Thompson of Erie, and Julie Donaldson of Butler, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Dick, Hiny and Dale; two sisters, Sue and Dolores; and a grandson, Kolton Young.
REOTT — Friends of Donald F. Reott, who died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
