Linda Ellen Smith
Linda Ellen Smith, 73, of Cranberry Township passed away Thursday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born Sept. 14, 1945, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Robert George Frederick Sr. and Dot Barzen Frederick.
Linda graduated from the last class of Zelienople High School. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at St. Barnabas Health System for more than 30 years and she truly cared for her patients there.
Linda was a member of Hope Lutheran Church where she volunteered in church activities. She also believed in giving back to the community and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Linda was an avid reader and an excellent baker. She enjoyed camping at Cooks Forest with her family. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Sgt. Allison L. Smith of Cranberry Township, Benjamin T. (Lynn) Smith of Loganville, Ga., and Frederick L. (Lynn) Smith of Freedom; her grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew, Zach, Preston and Alexis; her brother, Robert George (Pat) Frederick Jr. of Greer, S.C.; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved furbaby, Abby.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Arnold Lee “Arnie” Smith.
