Diane M. Dancik
Diane M. Dancik, 68, of Butler, died Sunday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 17, 1950, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth O. Broerman and Joan M. (Brunner) Broerman.
Diane graduated from high school. She also graduated from Butler County Community College, was a nurse of hope at Butler County Community College and had worked as a critical care nurse at Butler Memorial Hospital, retiring after 28 years.
She was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler, where she was also a commentator.
She was a member of the Garden Club, the G.F.W.C., and the Soroptimist International of Butler County, where she founded “A Place to Lay My Head.”
Surviving are her husband, Dennis P. Dancik, whom she married Sept. 16, 1972, one son, Brian (Rebecca) Dancik of Butler; six grandchildren, Evan, Madeline, Nicholas, Kira, Hailey and Marcus; one sister, Donna (Joseph) Campbell of Butler; a daughter-in-law, Chantee Dancik of Germantown, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Dancik, who died in 2014; and two brothers, K. Daniel and Denis A. Broerman.
DANCIK — Friends of Diane M. Dancik, who died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1160 N. Main St. Ext., Butler, with the Rev.
