Mary Jane Stiver
Mary Jane Stiver, 63, of Butler passed away Friday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital with her family and her pastor by her side.
Born April 14, 1955, in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of the late Ardell “Mack” Stiver and Hannah Spiker Stiver.
She attended the Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church in Whitestown, where she loved the church family and was known to give hugs to many.
Against all odds, she enjoyed life to its fullest. She enjoyed crafts, coloring, writing books, shopping, and going out to dinner with her family. She loved kids, animals and stuffed animals. She was a collector of anything elephants, which she decorated her room with.
Her nieces and nephews said she was the best “nanny” they ever had growing up. She enjoyed short day trips with her niece, Jessie, especially to Living Treasure's Animal Park and Pymatuning.
She is survived by her mother, Hannah Spiker Queen Stiver of Slippery Rock; her siblings, Donna Sarvey of Butler, Sharon Sarvey (Tim) Reedy of Butler, and Dorothy Homison of Slippery Rock; a number of nieces and nephews; her special companions, niece Jessie Sarvey and nephew Matt Sarvey, who were always there to help; her doggie Alvin; and her special four little boys, Carmine, Carter, Emil and Gideon.
