Man accused of firing gun in air during dispute
HARRISVILLE — A man is accused of firing a gun into the air Tuesday during a domestic dispute outside his home in the borough.
State police arrested 21-year-old Phillip L. Sasse following the incident on the 300 block of West Mercer Street. No one was injured.
District Judge William Fullerton on Wednesday arraigned Sasse on misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment and harassment, and summary charges of disorderly conduct and harassment. He was later released on his own recognizance.
The alleged victim, a female who police did not identify in court documents, told troopers that she went to the defendant's home to retrieve her clothes.
The victim said she left the house and ran to her car to leave. But, documents said, Sasse pulled a handgun and fired a shot into the air before she left.
Sasse's preliminary hearing is set Nov. 28 at the office of District Judge Bill O'Donnell in Slippery Rock.
