Frank Dydek Jr.
Frank Dydek Jr. of Grove City, formerly of Dydek Lane, Springfield Township, passed peacefully at home on Tuesday evening. He was 83.
Frank was born on Sept. 7, 1935, in No. 2 Mine Road, Springfield Township, Mercer County, to Frank and Nellie (Sharek) Dydek Sr.
He married Rosario “Rose” Bumbacco on July 25, 1959. She preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 2005.
He graduated from Mercer High School in 1953.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956.
Frank was a longtime member of the Church of the Beloved Disciple in Grove City.
Frank was a 50-year member of Carpenters Union Local 2274, now Local 441, and worked with the heavy construction business for the union.
Survivors include his companion, Genevieve Perry of Grove City; a son, Frank (Debra) Dydek III of Harrisville; a sister, Sandra Harry and a brother, Joseph Dydek and his wife, Susan, all of Mercer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
DYDEK — Family of Frank Dydek Jr., who died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, in the Day Chapel at the Church of the Beloved Disciple, 1310 S.
