Donald E. Garing
Donald E. Garing, 84, of Jackson Township passed away while under the care of his loving family Sunday in the comfort of his home.
Born June 13, 1934, in Jackson Township, he was the son of the late Clayton E. and Hazel Irene Harper Garing.
Donald was a life-long member at Grace Church of Harmony.
He was a retired millwright at BNZ Materials, formerly the Johns-Manville plant in Zelienople.
He was an avid hunter, tinkerer and woodworker. He loved to make flag poles for his family.
He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Don leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 65 years, Geraldine Currie Garing; his children, Scott M. (Deborah) Garing of Jackson Township, Nancy L. (Russell) Walters of North Huntingdon, Clay E. (Barbara) Garing of Jackson Township, and Donald H. Garing of Jackson Township; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Helen Rogers.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a sister, Velma Brandt.
GARING — Friends of Donald E. Garing, who died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral service in celebration of Don's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Church of Harmony, 538 Main St., Harmony, with the Rev.
