Thomas Lynn Waddell

Thomas Lynn Waddell, 51, of South Buffalo Township passed away peacefully Wednesday while in the company of family at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Tom was born Oct. 28, 1966, in New Kensington, and was the son of Connie M. (Baker) Waddell of Allegheny Township and the late James S. Waddell.

Tom was a 1986 graduate of Kiski High School.

He worked in the tool and die industry for a number of years before he and his wife started their business, Classic Tent Rentals. Tom and his family also started their other business, the Grand Estate at Hidden Acres in South Buffalo Township.

Tom enjoyed biking, kayaking, hunting, camping, working on his home and golfing. He also enjoyed serving others and spending time with his family.

Tom was an active member of Harvest Baptist Church in Natrona Heights.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Melanie (Beer) Waddell; their children, Aaron (Kayla) Waddell Sr. of South Buffalo Township, Jerrica (Misael) Salgado Garcia of South Buffalo Township and Nicaragua, and Tia Waddell of South Buffalo Township; and his two grandchildren, A.J. and Asa Waddell.

Tom is also survived by his two brothers, Gary (Elaine) Waddell and Brad (Beverly) Waddell, all of South Buffalo Township.

In addition to his father, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Lee Waddell; and his mother-in-law, R. Leona Beer.

WADDELL — Family and friends of Thomas Lynn Waddell, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Harvest Baptist Church, 224 Harvest Lane, Natrona Heights.A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Harvest Baptist Church with Pastor Marc Likins officiating.A private family burial service will be held in McVille Union Cemetery in South Buffalo Township.Arrangements were entrusted to Redmond Funeral Home, Freeport.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Baptist Academy, 224 Harvest Lane, Natrona Heights, PA 15065, or www.harvestbaptistacademy.com.To send a condolence visit, www.redmondfuneralhomeinc.com.
