Sarah E. Geibel

Sarah E. Geibel, 91, of Winfield Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, at the Manor of Whitehall in Franklin County, Ohio.

Sarah was born Sept. 27, 1926, in Kittanning, and was a daughter of the late Mildred (Kennedy) Shaner and O.C. Stewart. She was the widow of Donald P. Geibel, who passed away in July of this year.

Sarah worked as a school bus driver for Bauman Bus Co. for 31 years, retiring in 1997. She had also worked as a picker for Moonlight Mushroom.

Sarah enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Sarah is survived by her two stepdaughters, Donna (Paul) Jahn of Butler, and Roseann (Donald) Zirnsak of Connoquenessing; her stepson, Donald J. Geibel of Butler; and a sister, Lugene S. Young of South Buffalo Township.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Newton, Becky Jahn, Joel Tebay Sr., Sean and Darlene Montgomery, and James W. Montgomery Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Fiona Newton, Jacob Davis, Joel Tebay Jr., Alexander and Stephanie Montgomery, Zachary and Seanna Montgomery, Wesley Montgomery and Brenda Montgomery.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sarah was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Montgomery; a brother, Jack Shaner; and her stepfather, Charles Shaner.

GEIBEL — Family and friends of Sarah E. Geibel, who died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev.
