Kathryn L. “Babs” Schnur

Kathryn L. “Babs” Schnur, 84, of Butler died Sunday evening, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family.

Born Oct. 15, 1933, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Rose (Wetick) Kuciak.

Babs was co-owner along with her late husband, Willis, of Schnur's Greenhouse.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, and also the Christian Mothers at St. Mary.

Surviving are her children, James (Cindy) Schnur, Barbara (Richard) Massella and Anna (Greg) Angert, all of Butler, Jerome (Lisa) Schnur of Chicora, and Marlene (Roy) Thomas of Butler; nine grandchildren, Gregory (Linsey) Schnur, Scott (Rachel) Schnur, Roman Schnur, Levi Schnur, Samantha Schnur, Aubrey Schnur, Michael LeGrand, Brittany LeGrand and Dakota Thomas; seven great- grandchildren, Dylan, Olivia, Will, Caleb, Braylon, Brynlee and Jordan; her four in-laws, Kenneth (Nancy) Schnur, Arthur Miller, Agnes Widenhofer and Eileen Kuciak.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis R. Schnur, whom she married June 21, 1952, and who died March 25, 2017; two brothers, and one sister.

SCHNUR — Friends of Kathryn L. “Babs” Schnur, who died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
