Randal Leslie “Randy” Kummer
Randal Leslie “Randy” Kummer, 67, of Renfrew passed away on Tuesday at his residence.
He was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Butler, and was a son of the late Clair “Bus” Kummer and the late Jane Langbien Kummer.
Randy was a graduate of Butler High School. He went on to receive his associate degree in agriculture from Penn State.
Randy worked for Halstead Industries, Napco and Keystone Diesel, retiring in January of 2018.
He was a director of the Butler Farm Show for over 40 years, and was actively involved in the arena, buildings and grounds, antique department and many other aspects.
He was also a member of Allegheny Ridgerunners Snowmobile Club, Butler Farm Bureau and Western Pennsylvania Tractor and Truck Pullers Inc., where he served as president and vice-president and was on the board of directors multiple times.
Randy enjoyed farming, history, tractors, snowmobiling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Kummer, whom he married on March 12, 1977; three daughters, Audra Bowers and her husband, Rick, of Pittsburgh, Jessi Waltemyer and her husband, Marc, of Wyalusing, Pa., and Randi Foertsch and her husband, Christian, of Saxonburg; and nine grandchildren, Teagan, Lincoln, Dayton and Daxten Bowers, Andi and Kinzi Foertsch, and Jaxson, Cole and Trace Waltemyer.
KUMMER — Friends of Randal Leslie “Randy” Kummer, who died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
