Karen Sue Lutz Wissler

Karen Sue Lutz Wissler of Harmony passed away on Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born April 16, 1951, and was the eldest daughter of the late Edward H. and Leona Rape Lutz of Lutz Road in Zelienople.

Karen was employed by Valley Lines and worked at numerous restaurants, including the Log Cabin Inn and Cranberry Hall.

She was an extremely talented artist, gardener and antique collector. Her love for horses gave her great pleasure and she captured their beauty in her oil and watercolor paintings.

Karen leaves behind her loving companion, Don Winkle of Harmony; her six siblings, Ronald (Kelly) Lutz of Jackson Township, Kevin (Gwen) Lutz of Jackson Township, Sandra (Ken) Kriebel of Erie, Kenneth (Brenda) Lutz of New Brighton, John (Donna) Lutz of Jackson Township, and Bryce Lutz of Bellevue; her aunts and uncles, Evelyn Lutz of Slippery Rock, Charlotte (Regis) Rice of Butler County, Ed Rapp of Florida, and Glenn Oster of Florida.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her dear friend, Ernie Guidice.

WISSLER — Friends of Karen Sue Lutz Wissler, who died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A funeral to celebrate Karen's life will follow the visitation at 8 p.m. with Pastor Reid Moon officiating.Donations may be made in honor of Karen's memory to Butler County 4-H, c/o Penn State Extension of Butler County, 101 Motor Pool Way, Butler, PA 16001.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
