H. Dianne Risch
H. Dianne Risch, 82, of Saxonburg passed away on Monday at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Sept. 10, 1936, in Brackenridge, she was the daughter of the late John and Adamae Harmon Hughes.
Dianne was a graduate of Har-Brack High School.
Dianne worked for Nationwide Insurance, C.L. Risch and Sons and PNC Bank, as a teller. She retired from Allegheny Ludlum Federal Credit Union, where she loved all of her co-workers and thought of them as family.
She was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society's Sassy Lassies chapter.
Dianne was a past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and auxiliary member of the Saxonburg American Legion 683.
She continued the family tradition of hosting Christmas Eve at her home. She was known for her bright shirts, especially her Quacker Factory clothing, and had a way of making everyone feel like family.
She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and playing bingo at the American Legion.
She was a lifelong avid and devoted Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Dianne was very generous and put everyone else before herself. She was the true definition of a mother and friend. Dianne's family was everything to her.
Surviving are her daughter, Traci (Bruce) McLafferty of Cabot; her son, John (Sallie) Risch of Saxonburg; her grandson, Christian McLafferty of Saxonburg; her granddaughter, Cayla McLafferty of Cabot; her step-granddaughter, Andrea (Rudy) Colaizzi of Apollo; her stepgrandson, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Briney of Seven Fields; her step great-grandchildren, Kaylin Briney, Leo Colaizzi, and Ari Briney; her sisters, Robin Hughes of Troy, N.C., and Mary Beth (Robert) Mengel of Springdale; and her special caregivers and best friends, Helen and Jim McLafferty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Risch, who passed away Dec. 4, 2015.
RISCH — Friends of H. Dianne Risch, who died Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Cabot United Methodist Church, 707 Winfield Road, Cabot, with the Rev.
