Fred F. Solman Sr.

Fred F. Solman Sr., 85, of Zelienople passed away on Monday while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born Sept. 25, 1932, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Anton Solman and Helen Sorosky Solman. Fred was the baby of 10 siblings.

Today he won! He didn't lose the battle. He did not taste death, he is not an angel and he is not Resting in Peace. Today, Jesus came down, and just like you helping someone cross a stream, he reached out his hand and helped Dad jump over the grave and into eternity. He's alive in Heaven. He's faced judgment as we all will. Now, his purified body has been separated from all sin, like chaff from wheat, and he is righteous and holy in God's presence. He did not earn his way into Heaven as “religion” would have you believe. Salvation is a FREE gift. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe it in your heart, you will be saved. Well done, Dad!

He is survived by his sons, Fred F. Solman Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Zelienople, and Randy Solman and his wife, Cindy, of Volant; his grandchildren, Breanna, Heather and Braden Solman; and his nephew, Harry Kirsch and his wife, Chris, of Evans City.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Solman, who passed away on July 14, 2013; and all of his siblings.

SOLMAN — Friends of Fred F. Solman Sr., who died Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W.
