Winifred G. Vinroe
Winifred G. Vinroe, 87, of Butler, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning while in the company of her loving daughter at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Winifred was born April 14, 1931, in East Butler. She was the daughter of Carl and Laura Nevada McFadden Brewster.
She was a longtime active member of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church and dedicated her life to living the Gospel by example. She was a skilled seamstress and an avid shopper. She and her husband were longtime co-owners of Vinroe Carpet in Butler.
She married A. Leroy Vinroe on June 18, 1949, in East Butler. Her husband preceded her in death on March 19, 1998.
She is survived by six children: Judy and Mike O'Harrow, Joan and Ted Goodridge, Gary and Katy Vinroe, Donna Davis, Gwen and Jim Coltz and Kevin and Leslie Vinroe. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Donald (Lilian) Lee Brewster; one sister-in-law, Vanda Brewster; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Winifred was preceded in death by an infant grandson; one brother, Burt; and one sister, Lois.
VINROE — Friends of Winifred G. Vinroe, who died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way in Butler.A funeral service officiated by pastor Richard Jenks will follow Wednesday's visitation.Interment will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates in Mt.
