James A. Gourash

James A. Gourash, 51, of Mars, passed away Friday morning.

Born Jan. 14, 1967, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret Homyak Gourash.

Jim was an engineer for Bayer Corporation in Pittsburgh and a member of St. Kilian Church in Cranberry Township.

Jim loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, but he especially loved time spent with his family and time at his cabin.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Matz Gourash, whom he married on Nov. 6, 1999; a son, Matthew; two daughters, Lindsey and Sophia; a sister, Sally Kramer of Queenstown, Md.; two brothers, Tom (Debbie) Gourash, of Hilliard, Ohio, and Rich (Sandra) Gourash of Orlando, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Margaret Gourash.

GOURASH — Friends of James A. Gourash, who died Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, with the Rev. Charles Bober officiating.Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park in McCandless Township.Memorials may be made payable to Wells Fargo, with the Gourash Children Education Fund written on the memo line to 2400 Ansys Drive No. 304, Canonsburg, PA 15317.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
