Ronald R. Liebler

Ronald R. Liebler, 89, of Butler passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born Nov. 21, 1928, in Butler, he was a son of the late Gerald F. and Sarah Schaffner Liebler.

He was employed for 44 years as a metallographer at Butler Armco. He also worked as a realtor for Carl Shields, and later, Home Realty Co.

He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had served during the Korean conflict.

Ron was a volunteer with the Butler Public Library, Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Meals on Wheels.

He belonged to the Century Club, Armco Country Club, Esquire Club, the Butler Elks and American Legion Post 778.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Scott Liebler, whom he married June 19, 1951; four children, Kathryn Froiland of Butler, Scott Liebler of Evergreen, Colo., Jeffery Liebler of Butler and Michael Liebler and his wife, Gina, of Butler; one sister, Connie McMillen of Greenville, Pa.; one sister-in-law, Eileen Liebler of Butler; four grandchildren, Adam Williams, Phillip Williams, Katie Liebler and Jayla Liebler; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by one sister, Joanne Grecco; one brother, Gerald “Hughie” Liebler; and one grandson, Christopher Williams.

LIEBLER — Friends of Ronald R. Liebler, who died Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.The Women's Council of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church will meet at 9:35 a.m. Monday at the church to recite the rosary.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday from St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler.Burial will take place in St. Peter Cemetery.Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by VFW Post 249, American Legion Post 778, and American Legion Post 117.The family requests memorial donations to Connecting 2 Tomorrow, P.O.
