John Wesley Ficca
John Wesley Ficca, 23, of Grove City went to be home with the Lord Thursday evening surrounded by his family in Allegheny General Hospital following injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident on Wednesday evening.
John was born Feb. 2, 1995, in Butler, to Ronald J. and Dixie L. (Osborne) Ficca.
He was a member of Tower Presbyterian Church in Grove City and he was a graduate from Grove City High School in 2013.
John had attended Butler County Community College.
He recently started a new job with Graziani Construction in New Castle. John formerly worked at Wilson Excavating in New Wilmington and Straight to the Point Drilling in Valencia.
John lived his life to the fullest. He loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he enjoyed kayaking.
For many years, he rode motor cross and enjoyed riding with his uncle, Bob, in the woods.
He was a big gun collector and was a proud supporter of the NRA.
He played guitar and liked going to concerts with friends.
John will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his parents, Ron and Dixie Ficca; a brother, Joey Ficca, all of Grove City; his grandparents, Floyd and Joan Osborne, and Dr. Robert Ficca of Butler; his aunts and uncles, Robert Ficca and his wife, Kathy of Butler, Marie Grossman and her husband, Matthew of Stephens City, Va., Tammy Osborne of Butler, and Dr. Lou Ann Sears and her husband, David, of Cabot; his girlfriend, Carissa Chilcott of Butler; and his beloved dog, Diesel.
Many other extended relatives survive.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marsha J. Ficca.
FICCA — Visitation hours for John Wesley Ficca, who died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S.
