Two women sent to hospital after rear-end collision
CHICORA — Two woman were transferred by ambulance Tuesday evening from an accident on Kittanning Pike in Chicora, according to the Chicora Fire Department.
Two vehicles were involved, each carrying one of the victims, according to Chicora Fire Ltd. Kent Craig. One vehicle collided with the other's rear end.
The accident was called in at 5:15 p.m.
One lane of traffic was closed, with public safety workers alternating traffic on the open lane.
The cars were cleared from the roadway at about 6:25 p.m.
No other information was immediately available.
