With Election Day on Nov. 6, Pennyslvania's deadline for voter registration is today.

The state accepts

online applications and mailed registrations that are postmarked no later than Oct. 9. Registration can also be completed in person at the Butler County Bureau of Elections office located in the Butler County Government Center on 124 West Diamond St. The building closes at 4:30 p.m. Aside from new registrations, the form must be filled out if you have moved or changed your name.To register in Pennsylvania, you must be a U,S, citizen and have lived in the state 30 days before Nov. 6. The deadline doesn't apply to anyone who is on active military duty or is a hospitalized veteran.The election office has an annual budget of $400,000 and operates under the assumption that there will be a 100 percent voter turnout.“So if you do not vote, it is like taking a dollar bill out of your pocket and throwing it in the wastebasket,” the election office concludes on its website.Don't know if you are registered yet, unsure what district you are in, or need directions to your polling place, click
