Betty Lou Hegedus

Betty Lou Hegedus, 87, of Chicora, formerly of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday at Chicora Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was born on May 6, 1931, in Benwood, W.Va.

She was employed by Wheeling Stamping and was also a caretaker for churches in Warwood, W.Va.

Betty was a provider of love and was loved by many. For the last seven years, Betty was loved and cared for by the fabulous staff of the Chicora Medical Center. The love they showed for her will never be forgotten. She loved them all very much.

Betty loved her family. She enjoyed doing just about anything with them. Her eyes would light up every day when they would visit. She laughed every day and told her family that she loved them every day of her life.

She was the beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who touched the lives of many with her endless love and kind heart.

She leaves behind her son, Mike Hegedus and his wife, Molly, as well as three granddaughters, Megan, Annie and Emily, all of Chicora; her daughter, Patti Kuca as well as three grandsons, Frank, Kevin and Kyle Kuca and her three great-grandchildren, all of Wheeling, W.Va.; and her sisters-in-law, Rose Spisich and Theresa Suto.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alex Hegedus; her daughter, Susan Hegedus; her son, Paul Hegedus; her sisters, Lou Stillion and Helen Higgins; and her brothers, Jim Gellner and Ray Gellner.

HEGEDUS — Family and friends of Betty Lou Hegedus, who died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora.A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling, W.Va.Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.hilefh.com.
