Correne A. Frampton
Correne A. Frampton, 80, of Harrisville, died at 10:08 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Living Center in Grove City.
Correne was born Oct. 24, 1936, in New Hope, to the late Earl M. and Violet Deal McCandless. She was a graduate of Emlenton High School and worked as a wage tax collector for Mercer Township for many years. Correne married her beloved husband, Gene D. Frampton, on Oct. 2, 1954. He preceded her in death March 19, 2001.
Correne enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish. She loved her wildflowers and gardening. She was a longtime member of Harrisville United Methodist Church and was very strong in her faith.
Correne is survived by two sons, Daniel B. Frampton and his wife, Jean of Tionesta, Pa., and Barry L. Frampton and his wife, Heather, of Grove City; nine grandchildren, Daniel B. Frampton II, Tiffany Sybert and her husband, Daniel, Charla Wright and her husband, Aaron, Shane Frampton and his wife, Sarah, Phillip Frampton and his wife, Beth, Troy Frampton, Lydia Frampton, Regan Snyder and Ryan Spithaler; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald McCandless; one sister, Francis Stewart; one daughter-in-law, Melanie Frampton; and her very dear friend, Marilyn Brinker, who was like a sister to her.
In addition to her parents and husband, Correne was preceded in death by her son, Gene David Frampton; her daughter, Constance Frampton; her brother, Lonel; her sisters, Ilene and Lavon; and granddaughter, Jennifer Frampton.
FRAMPTON — Family and friends of Correne A. Frampton, who died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville.
A funeral service will follow 4 p.m. at the funeral home the Rev. Jeffrey Canter, pastor of Harrisville United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow at Prairie Cemetery.
